Creative programmes rooted in poetry, healing and community voice

NINE RED Presents… (CIC) develops and delivers creative programmes that bring together poetry, literacy, visual art, performance, wellbeing and community participation.

Our work is shaped by story, cultural expression, reflection and healing-centred practice. We create experiences that are imaginative, restorative and grounded in real communities.

We work across schools, libraries, arts and cultural settings, public programmes, wellbeing spaces, family activity, community venues and partnership-led commissions.

What makes our work distinctive

Programmes with artistic quality and social purpose

Our approach combines creative excellence, emotional intelligence and public-facing relevance. Each programme is designed to be engaging, thoughtful and adaptable to the people and place it serves.

1

Poetry and literacy

We use poetry, writing, language and storytelling to support expression, confidence, reading culture and creative participation.

2

Healing-centred practice

Our work creates spaces for reflection, wellbeing, emotional restoration and meaningful connection through arts-based approaches.

3

Community and culture

We shape programmes that honour place, identity, heritage, belonging and lived experience, while building visibility and legacy.

Flagship literacy programme

BedfordSHARE

BedfordSHARE is Bedfordshire’s Poetry Together umbrella campaign. It brings people together through poetry, story, reflection, creativity, movement and shared cultural expression across the county.

It celebrates local identity, talent, heritage and aspiration, while creating space for people to honour their stories, discover their voices and contribute to a shared sense of belonging.

Within BedfordSHARE, Bedfordshire Voices sits as a key delivery strand and community rollout model, supporting participation, publication, performance and community celebration.

Publication and voice

Community anthologies

Our anthology work creates space for communities to publish, share and preserve their voices. These programmes support reflection, confidence, creativity and collective storytelling.

Anthology strands can be developed around women’s voices, cultural identity, young people, place, healing, lived experience and intergenerational themes.

Featured programme

Artful Nature

Artful Nature is a creative nature-based programme for all ages, from early years to golden years. It brings together poetry, visual art, movement, storytelling, observation and wellbeing.

The programme can be adapted for nurseries, schools, families, community groups, adults, elders and intergenerational settings. It offers a slower, more reflective way of connecting with creativity and the natural world.

This strand also includes Artful Nature – Shinrin-yoku, with forest-bathing-inspired writing sessions and poetry walks shaped by landscape, calm and attentiveness.

Bespoke art and creative services

Alongside public programmes, we offer bespoke creative services through Art Undefined. These can support commissions, installations, workshops, participatory arts activity, theatre-based work and multidisciplinary creative delivery.

This is ideal for organisations seeking something tailored, collaborative and artist-led.

Think Therapy

Art as Medicine

Our healing-centred offer is shaped through Art as Medicine. This work explores how creativity can support wellness, coping, emotional expression, calm, recovery and personal change.

It includes creative healing approaches, reflective practice, poetry and writing, movement, colour, sound and culturally rooted wellbeing experiences.
