Creative experiences that heal, connect and inspire
NINE RED Presents… (CIC) is a long-established community interest company rooted in creativity, care and social impact. Founded in 2006 and recognised with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2016, the organisation reinvests its income into arts, wellbeing and community-centred support.
Through poetry, visual art, sound, movement, installation and public engagement, NINE RED creates work that helps people feel seen, heard and connected. Across its work, this comes together through three simple ideas: Think Art. Think Therapy. Think 9 Red.
From bespoke commissions to healing-centred workshops and community programmes, NINE RED creates work with depth, beauty and purpose.
Why audiences, partners and communities choose NINE RED
NINE RED offers a rare combination of artistic excellence, social purpose and healing-centred practice.
Creative problem solving
NINE RED responds to real community needs with imaginative, carefully shaped work rooted in listening, empathy and action.
Its projects are designed to spark thought, build confidence and create meaningful social change through artistic practice.
Innovative project design
Participant-led activity, creative learning and wellbeing-centred delivery sit at the heart of the organisation’s approach.
This allows projects to feel both artistically rich and genuinely supportive to the people taking part.
Changing perceptions
NINE RED’s work is grounded in the belief that everyone deserves dignity, opportunity, creativity and a chance to flourish.
That value-led foundation gives the work warmth, integrity and lasting relevance.
Connected platforms, shared purpose
The wider NINE RED world brings together creative services, healing practice, publishing and community-led projects under one distinctive vision.
Think Art
NINE RED’s art offer includes bespoke visual work, soundwork, prose, immersive activity and installation-led experiences.
This makes the organisation especially well suited to commissions, cultural programming, public engagement and place-based creative work.
Think Therapy
The therapeutic strand is framed through Art as Medicine: a healing-centred approach using creativity to support emotional wellbeing, trauma recovery and self-expression.
This work sits within a broader commitment to supporting people affected by violence, poor mental health and exclusion from mainstream spaces.
Think 9 Red
Together, these strands form a body of work that is artist-led, culturally aware and shaped with care.
For partners and commissioners, that means a creative collaborator with both vision and substance.
Where creativity meets healing
The Art as Medicine strand is a multidimensional practice drawing together poetry, creative craft, movement, reflection and expressive arts approaches.
Within that practice, Words Chose Me is shaped by story, colour, sound, movement and emotional understanding, creating experiences that are imaginative, restorative and deeply human.
This enables workshops and creative sessions that can be adapted for wellbeing spaces, community programmes, cultural settings and public events.
