Part of the Bedfordshire Together Project, the Bards of Bedfordshire Writing Group was established to foster creativity, expression and belonging for local writers across genres, backgrounds and experience levels. The group supports emerging and developing writers by offering a dynamic platform where people can experiment, strengthen their voice and share their work with others.
Through workshops, writing exercises, challenges, feedback and opportunities to present work publicly, the group nurtures individual talent while contributing to the wider cultural life of the county. It is both a creative development space and a literary community rooted in Bedfordshire voices.

Registration and membership procedure
Following the initial pilot phase, a more structured registration and membership process has been introduced to help create a positive, safe and supportive environment for all participants. This process is intended to manage membership more effectively, strengthen the group community and uphold the values at the heart of the Bards of Bedfordshire.
