Door 24: The Light of Change

A candle burns steadily, its flame shining bright through dark times. This light reminds all that change begins with hope and the smallest acts of courage. You may light another candle to spread this glow or bring someone closer to the warmth of this powerful flame.

Light another, Door 17.

Bring someone near, Door 25.

Survivor Poem –

We Are More Than Survivors

We are not only
what we escaped.

We are gardeners
planting what we choose.
We are dancers
finding new rhythms
with bodies that remember
and still move anyway.

We are parents
teaching our children
that love is never meant
to be frightening.

We are friends
who answer texts at midnight,
who sit on cold benches
outside courtrooms,
who breathe together
through the waiting.

We are community,
stitched from many stories,
none of them identical,
all of them important.

When you think you are alone,
hear this:
your story is a room
in a much larger house.

The lights are on.
The kettle is boiling.
There is a seat here
with your name on it.

We are more than survivors.
We are the future
we were told
we would never reach—
and we are already living it.
