Door 9: The Guardian Door
Behind this thick wood door stand trusted grown-ups, ready to protect and care with kindness. They do not use fear or harm but instead build safety and respect. Here, every person is valued and heard. You can ask for their help to find shelter, or you might offer your own strength to someone else in need. This door is a reminder that you can be safe and supported.
Survivor Poem – Love Warrior
I am a Love Warrior, I came to fight
Not with guns and knives, but with depth and insight
To look past your pain to your broken form
You thought you could ruin me with violent storms
But through heavy lashings of tears and pain
I stay complete, my mission remains
To shine a light where the darkness is thick
You hide behind and call me sick
I am not a victim – please don’t show me pity
I am a victor with the key to the city
You are the hidden – you the real victim
Of a society that’s too scared to admit that we live in
A world that ignores the real darkness we share
Feeding its strength with secrets and fear
Exposed and laid bare I had to change
Face the truth and rebuild my name
Gluing back pieces together with gold
To produce a resilience that will never get old
My sword is forgiveness, True Love is my shield
Unconditional compassion for all of our ills
I see through your ill and perceptions of me
Can you do the same and help us all be free?
You cannot separate your being from him
He was not born evil, he is not made of sin
He is the perpetually enabled victim
He doesn’t have “Monster” tattooed on his face
But the scars deep inside he cannot erase
The epitome of white privilege – not even aware
The system fails all – no justice lives there
Isolation to punish and keep us all safe
Treated like animals – then released full of rage
Until we treat all broken souls with compassion
We will never understand, never learn our lesson
Stop looking at me like I need to be fixed
And help me to help him admit that he’s sick
Your laws protect him – his skin colour used
Defending the “Quo” and its twisted abuse
Institutional disease passed through generations
Only has strength through belief in separation
But we are all one this is the Truth
And we can only heal through the power of good
We are all One and can never transcend
Until all is forgiven, accepted as pain
The vulnerable sacrificed, The powerful excused
But we are all one and we’re all gonna lose
Unconditional love is all powerful and mighty
Nothing is stronger than truth love and unity
The gifts you gave wrapped in barbed wire and shards
Have transformed into blessings I now wear on my heart
I now walk the street with confident steps,
Fear does not diminish my quest
For freedom to believe we can find a solution
A Love Warrior I remain –
In this Love Revolution.
